I found this via Gothamist today: an artist-run site where New Yorkers can list their haves and their wants with price tags attached, then have them rendered into paintings for sale. For example, someone up there wants an iPhone for $432.42. You can buy the painting for exactly that amount.
You too can submit your wants but the site owners caution: "For anything having to do with the Yankees, don't even bother." Heh!
